ENTRANCE ANTIPHON

GR
The Lord saith: I think thoughts of peace, and not of affliction:
you shall call upon me, and I will hear you;
and I will bring back your captivity
from all places (Jer 29:11–12, 14).
V. Lord, Thou hast blessed thy land:
Thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob (Ps 84:2).

COLLECT

Grant us, we beseech you, Lord, our God,
abiding joy in devotion to you
for perfect and lasting happiness
is found in serving you, the author of all good.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever.

GENERAL INTERCESSIONS

For the holy Church of God throughout the world;
that, protected by Saint Michael the great prince,
she may keep the Lord always before her
and find in his presence fulness of joy,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.

For the leaders of nations;
that they may seek the things that make for peace
and, by governing wisely,
avert destruction, bloodshed, and war,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.

For those who suffer in body, mind, or spirit,
and for those who are in tribulation and darkness;
that they may discover before them the path of life,
and the Lord Himself at their right hand,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.

For ourselves;
that with Christ Jesus as chosen portion and cup,
as priest and single offering,
we may be kept safe for the blessed advent of His glory,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.

COLLECT AT THE GENERAL INTERCESSIONS

Almighty and ever-living God,
who in your only-begotten Son
show us the path of life
and in the wisdom of his Cross
a brightness surpassing that of the firmament;
mercifully grant that we
who await His blessed coming upon the clouds
with great power and glory,
may hold fast to the commandment he left us,
partaking of both portion and cup
as we await the fulness of joy
prepared for the elect in your presence
Through Christ our Lord.

OFFERTORY ANTIPHON

GR
Out of the depths have I cried to Thee, O Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
Out of the depths, have I cried to Thee, O Lord (Ps 129:1–2).

PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS

Grant, we beseech you, almighty God,
that the offering lifted up in the sight of your majesty
may obtain us the grace of godly devotion
and ensure us an eternity of bliss.
Through Christ our Lord.

PREFACE

Truly it is right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God.

You have revealed to us our human destiny,
that we are born into this present world
to receive the gift of eternal life in your kingdom.

By the power of your word you fashioned us from earth
so that in tender love you might fill us
with the abundance of your heavenly gifts.

And so, with all the choirs of angels,
we praise your glory, now and forever,
as with one voice we sing:

COMMUNION ANTIPHON

GR
Amen, I say to you, whatsoever things you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received them and that they shall come unto you (Mk 11:23-24).

MR
It is good for me to adhere to my God,
to put my hope in the Lord God (Ps 72:28).

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION

We have received, O Lord, the gifts of your sacred mysteries
and now we humbly beg that these things
your Son has commanded us do in remembrance of him,
may cause us to grow in charity.
Through Christ our Lord.

SOLEMN BLESSING

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ
show you the path of life
and grant you the fulness of joy in his presence.
R. Amen.

May Christ, our Wisdom, our Offering, and our Priest,
cause you to shine like the brightness of the firmament
and, at length, seat you with himself at the right hand of God.
R. Amen.

May the Holy Spirit gladden your heart and rejoice your soul
as you await the day and the hour
of the glorious advent of the Son of Man.
R. Amen.

And may the blessing of Almighty God,
the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
descend upon you, and remain with you forever.
R. Amen.
