Morning Offering for Priests

I composed this Morning Offering for Priests for the Prayerbook for the Spiritual Mothers of Priests that I am preparing for publication.

Father most holy,
I offer You the prayers, works,
joys, and sufferings of this day
by placing them in the holy and venerable hands
of Jesus, the Eternal High Priest,
and by saying, as He did upon entering the world,
"Behold, I come to do Your will" (Hebrews 10:9).

For the sake of all His priests,
and in particular for Fathers N. and N.,
I entreat Your beloved Son to unite my offering
to the Sacrifice of the Cross,
renewed upon the altars of Your Church
from the rising of the sun to its setting (Malachy 1:11).

Most merciful Father,
look upon these men chosen by Your Son
to show forth His death until He comes (1 Cor 11:26);
keep them from the Evil One (John 17:15)
and sanctify them in the truth (John 17:17).

Bind them by a most tender love
to the Virgin Mary, their Mother
that, by her intercession,
they may be overshadowed by the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35)
in every act of their sacred ministry;
thus may their priesthood reveal
the Face of Jesus and the merciful love of His Heart,
for the fruitfulness of His spouse, the Church.
and the praise of Your glory. Amen.

Father, please send me one as I am seriously considering being a spiritual mother.

Father — thank you for all your beautiful reflections and historical information that you share.

I, too, would like to know if it is possible to receive a copy of this book. If so, please advise what is needed to be done to obtain a copy.

Thank you again and God bless.

Dear Mary-Fran and Paula, As soon as the book is published and ready for distribution, I will announce it here on Vultus Christi and indicate how to go about obtaining a copy. Thank you for your interest.

Dear Father Mark,

We met in Rome, at a very rainy Canonization Mass (Argent and Zadok were also there), and I have been following your blog ever since. May God reward you a hundredfold for your ministry!

I will be entering the Passionist Nuns very shortly and, God willing, will be able to offer my life there for the sake of our priests. As I have grown in my faith, the deeper I have sensed a connection between my vocation and the priestly one, and it wasn't until I read the Holy See's document on Spiritual Motherhood of priests that I put my finger on what that connection was.

Anyway, as a cloistered contemplative I most likely will not have the means to know about, let alone buy, your book, so I'm going to delegate a fellow blogger to keep her eye out and send it to our monastery when you've published it. I'm so glad I caught that little aside in this post!

God bless and keep you in His grace.

Yes. Father, could you please make an announcement when your book will be published and how we can acquire a copy. We need guidance on this relatively new devotion. Thank you for sharing your inspirations.
God Bless.
