I am leaving this afternoon for the Monastery of Our Lady of the Annunciation at Clear Creek to preach the monastic community's annual retreat. I will be away from the computer and the telephone until the afternoon of November 21st, feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

I humbly beg for the prayers of all the readers of Vultus Christi, that Our Lord may open fountains of living water in my own heart and in the hearts of those to whom I will be preaching.

Dear Father, I shall be praying, and I have been praying for you and asking all of the saints of the family of St. Benedict to especially intercede for you, your community, and all of your intentions.

I sincerely pray that what you speak with your lips to the good company of monks at Clear Creek will also speak to your own heart and soul full of the great love of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and overflowing with the transforming and transfiguring countenance of His Holy Face.

Still Waters Farm joins you in prayer for your intentions.

Just came across your blog, via New Advent...take care Father and God bless!

Dear Father Mark,

What a wonderful ministry you are doing for the Lord. It is wonderful to hear how the Monastery of Our Lady of the Cenacle is progressing. The postulants that you have are good men that God has entrusted to you to form in His image and likeness. I know this is a big responsibility and therefore I would appreciate knowing their first names so that I can pray for them by name.
May the Lord continue to bless you in your ministry.
Always In Christ

About Father Mark

Father Mark Daniel Kirby is Prior of the Diocesan Benedictine Monastery of Our Lady of the Cenacle in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

His Excellency Bishop Edward J. Slattery of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tulsa established the monastery in 2009 with a special mandate to live under the Rule of Saint Benedict in adoration before the Eucharistic Face of Jesus, offering thanksgiving, intercession, and reparation for all our brothers in Holy Orders.

Fr. Mark is available to the priests and deacons of the Diocese for spiritual and sacramental support in their pursuit of holiness. He is also charged with the spiritual formation of women who desire to dedicate themselves to spiritual motherhood in favour of priests.
